MATERIALS

2 strands of Craft Lace (48” long)

1 strand of Craft Lace (48” long)

2 craft eyes

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Take all 3 strands of Craft Lace. Fold in half and knot in the middle. Use this as your knot starting point.
2. Make a 6 strand SPIRAL BRAID (round braid). Continue braiding for 1 ½”.
3. Wings: at about 1 ½” form 2 loops on each side of knot for wings. Slip the looped winged section under the 2 core strands. Tighten the core around the wings and knot into place.
4. Head: switch over to a BOX BRAID (square knot) and braid for about ½”  (5-6 knots). Take 3 strands and make a traditional braid (3-4 knots). Knot all 3 strands at end of braid. Cut off excess craft lace. Repeat this on other side (with remaining 3 strands of Craft Lace.) This will form the antennae
5. Glue eyes on head.
