6 yards natural hemp
5 large shells
Closure bead
1. Cut 2 cords each 3 yards long. Fold in half and make a closure loop.
2. Tie 3 1/2" of alternating square knots using 3 cords for each knot, one filler and one right and one left tying cord.
3. Bring all 4 cords together and tie a square knot with all 4.
4. Add a shell by laying it down with one end at the square knot and the filler cords through the center of the shell. Tie a square knot after the shell to hold it in position. Repeat to tie all 5 shells onto chocker.
5. Tie 3 1/2" of alternating square knots.
6. Add a closure bead.

5 yards of natural hemp
3 small shells

1. Cut 2 pieces of hemp, each 2 1/2 yards. Fold in half and make a closure loop.
2. Tie 2" of alternating square knots.
3. Add the 3 small shells as you did in Step 4 of the choker.
4. Tie 2" of alternating square knots.
5. Add a closure bead. |
