MATERIALS

16 strands of Craft Lace 48” long each

1 strand of Craft Lace 24” long each

20 pony beads

INSTRUCTIONS

1. To make sides: Take 4 strands of Craft Lace and knot in the middle. Double up on Craft Lace to make 4 strands. Start to knot from the middle knot. Make a BOX BRAID (square knot) for about 2 ¼”. At 2 ¼” take all 4 strands and make an end knot. This will form 1 side of the frame. Repeat this step 3 more times until you have 4 sides/pieces.
2. Take the 4 sides/pieces and tie all 4 sides together. Tie flat end into end with extra lacing. Knot together to hold into place to form the frame. To decorate, knot pony beads into corner lacing. Cut off excess Craft Lace.
3. Take  remaining 24” strand of Craft Lace and weave it into each corner diagonally placing a pony bead in between each corner. Do this on the inside of all 4 corners (refer to picture)
4. Finish off frame by taking the Craft Lace and forming an “X or criss-cross pattern (from corner to corner) on the back of the frame. This will hold the picture in the frame. Knot and cut off excess Craft Lace.
